As a newcomer to Push as well as Ableton I found this to be exactly what I needed to feel confident using these tools. I will say however, that two of the videos would not play [WRKSHP: we fixed this :)] and of course they were sections that I REALLY wanted more information about. This is why I only gave it 4 stars. Still good info though. Update: My issue with the non playing videos was quickly resolved by Andri. 5 amazing stars for the added bonus of super customer support!

This is without a doubt the best investment of your time if you're a beginner learning Push. Yes, YouTube is free, but you will not get anything close to the care and structure put into this course. Not only do you learn the device but you also get to learn Ableton Live and that's a great two for one.

This course has been well organized and well thought out. KUDOS! Some of the concepts that I have watched videos and not understood and now I easily understand. The one that comes to mind is the MIDI Push function of being able to access random doodling if I press record and New at the same time. Push is always recording your musical musings. I watched several videos on this but didn't understand till this tutorial. Very well done. His speaking manner and content is calm, logical, and cool and collected.

Instructor

Senior Instructor

Andri Søren Haflidason

Andri has taught thousands of students, from complete beginners to full-time professionals. He became a Product Specialist for Ableton in 2014, delivering workshops at all levels, has taught at schools across Europe including SAE Institute and ESRA. His focus is on Ableton Live and Ableton Push, with a particular emphasis on finding creative workflows, improvisational performance, and getting into 'the flow. He believes firmly in doing more with less, and "finding your instrument". Life is short, and limitations and focus bring incredible creativity and results. Describing and mapping out the "landscapes of possibility" to students is key, helping them find their path and to define their own personal quest.

Find your Flow

Push 2 is a powerhouse in the right hands. Level up your knowledge, dive deep, and gain a complete overview of the capabilities of Push 2. Learn workflows that lead to getting into the legendary state of "Flow", but also have fun, and start creating results like never before.

How this course is structured

  • A foundational approach, taking you step by step through Push & Live

  • Digestible lessons broken down into logical Sections & Chapters

  • Explanations of not just "how", but "why" one might use certain approaches
