Read MoreExcellent and very in depth course. Walks you along in very methodical and carefully segmented steps so you can follow along and retrieve information/steps later during production. Instructor goes at acceptable pace and they did a great job of clearly showing the physical unit and toggling between screens. Very well thought out. Very well presented. Great job of instructing while also touching on future learning. This is by far the best Push2 course I have come across!!

Read MoreAs a newcomer to Push as well as Ableton I found this to be exactly what I needed to feel confident using these tools. I will say however, that two of the videos would not play [WRKSHP: we fixed this :)] and of course they were sections that I REALLY wanted more information about. This is why I only gave it 4 stars. Still good info though. Update: My issue with the non playing videos was quickly resolved by Andri. 5 amazing stars for the added bonus of super customer support!

Read MoreThis is without a doubt the best investment of your time if you're a beginner learning Push. Yes, YouTube is free, but you will not get anything close to the care and structure put into this course. Not only do you learn the device but you also get to learn Ableton Live and that's a great two for one.

Read MoreThis course has been well organized and well thought out. KUDOS! Some of the concepts that I have watched videos and not understood and now I easily understand. The one that comes to mind is the MIDI Push function of being able to access random doodling if I press record and New at the same time. Push is always recording your musical musings. I watched several videos on this but didn't understand till this tutorial. Very well done. His speaking manner and content is calm, logical, and cool and collected.

A whole section goes into how to create an entire track using almost exclusively Push, showing tricks and tips to reduce touching your mouse and keyboard to the absolute minimum. A download allows you to follow along and create your own version of the track.
Push is incredible, and does some things better than anything else I know. It also has limitations however, and I've spent a lot of time exploring these. Let me save you a lot of time and frustration by revealing what works, what doesn't, and as a guide to getting the most out of a really powerful piece of kit.
Push is incredible for creating beats and loops - faster than anything else I know. Learn how to use the basics of the Drum Mode and Drum Rack with Push. To go even deeper check out the Intermediate or Complete courses.
Push is an amazing way to use and access scales we don't know. Learn about the variety on offer, and why they can be so much fun to use.
Learn how to use your favourite VSTs and plugins with Push, some recommendations where to find free plugins, install them, and how to control their parameters with Push.
Learn how to use samples as instruments, and how you can edit these sounds using Simpler and Push. An excellent introduction to the even more detailed investigation in the Intermediate/Complete course.
A foundational approach, taking you step by step through Push & Live
Digestible lessons broken down into logical Sections & Chapters
Explanations of not just "how", but "why" one might use certain approaches
